Prayer

I found a reference to this father's prayer for his son while going through some notes today ...

O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel our fathers, preserve this forever in the intentions of the heart of Your people, and direct their heart to You; and give to my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies and Your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the temple, for which I have made provision."  I Chronicles 29:18-19

This is King David praying for his son Solomon!  He asked God to give Solomon ...

a perfect heart to keep God's commandments, testimonies and statues and to do them all ...

and a perfect heart to build the temple

David was concerned about Solomon's heart!  

Yes, that's the best place to start when we're praying for our children!
