A challenge

Are you up for a challenge???

Here you go ...

Challenge: Ask God to bring to your mind any sin that He sees in your life. (Psalm 139: 23-24) It is a humbling experience. After you’ve made things right with God, ask the Lord to bring to your mind anyone you need to seek forgiveness from. Oh, now that is really hard to do. It’s one thing to confess to God, in the privacy of our hearts and minds, but to have to go to someone and admit wrong doing … well that’s a different story. If we are going to be pleasing to God though we must swallow our pride and proceed (Ephesians 4:1-4).

Spiritual Wisdom

Do you know someone who is struggling with a spiritual issue?

Do you feel helpless and at a loss as to what to do?

Pray for spiritual wisdom for them and for you.

Spiritual Growth

Today, I'm answering a question ... (I hope you find my answer beneficial!)

How do you keep from growing stale in your walk with God?

Read and study God’s Word daily. There's no substitute for it. Nothing this world has to offer gives us the spiritual benefits that being in God’s Word daily does.

Set aside a specific time each day to meet with God in prayer … and be there. The Bible is God talking to us and prayer is us talking to God.

Listen to inspirational DVD’s, CD’s, tapes etc. This is one of my favorite things to do when driving or riding in a vehicle. I also do this when housework needs to be done or when exercising.

Attend special events such as gospel meetings, workshops, classes, conferences, ladies events, etc. These types of events are geared toward giving us a shot of encouragement.

Remember that when we’re too busy for God, we’re too busy. I’ve been a Christian for many years and over the course of these years I’ve learned that God must be a priority in our lives if we’re going to be pleasing to Him.

Don’t take our relationship with God for granted, it only takes a little neglect to start us on the road to spiritual decline. Paul addressed this issue of falling away in I Corinthians 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. We use self-discipline in many areas of our lives, work, caring for our families, caring for our homes, etc ... it stands to reason that we should also use self-discipline when seeking spiritual growth. Zero effort equals zero results regardless of what we're doing ... including growing spiritually.
