Lesson # 14
Wrapping It All
Up!
Look at Genesis
49: 30-31. What do these Scriptures tell
us about
Leah?
Jacob came
between these two sisters and was the cause of much
anguish on both girls' parts. Can't you see Leah and Rachel
as
sisters growing up all through their childhood laughing and playing
with
each other? In your opinion,
what could have prevented the
breakdown of their relationship?
Leah lived a
full and wealthy life. She more than
likely had
everything money could buy except the one thing she wanted most,
her husband's love. It wasn't until
after Leah's death that her
importance in God's plan became
obvious. She was not only the
mother of
part of the 12 tribes of Israel but it was also one of her
sons who was chosen
to be in Christ's lineage.
God
knew the plans He had for Leah, just as He knows the plans He has for each of
us. God was involved in Leah's life,
even though to the casual observer it appeared He wasn't, just as He’s involved
in ours today whether we realize it or not.
Thank
you Father for being there especially during the times when circumstances make
it appear you're not.
Let
your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have,
for He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
This is the final installment in this series
of lessons on Leah. I hope you have enjoyed these lessons.
