What I've Been Up Too!
I've been taking a class on the book of Revelation at a school of biblical studies in the next town over. It has been challenging to say the least but oh my, it has been so good for me! It has strengthened my faith and shored up my hope!
I've been preparing to be one of three speakers at an upcoming ladies day at a congregation in the next town over. For those who don't know what a 'ladies day' is, it's a day where women from surrounding areas are invited to a congregation for a day of spiritual encouragement by women. It's a day of women teaching women, a women's only day!
I continue to teach a teen girl's class. We are studying Leah and Rachel and the girls are really caught up in the account. We are nearing the end of this study and the girls have requested to study about Dinah next, so that's what we'll do after we finish with Leah and Rachel.
I continue to do my daily read through the Bible reading. This is how I start my day off each day, Bible reading followed by prayer.
After our Revelation class is completed, I want to choose a spring/summer study to focus on and do before classes at the school of biblical studies start again in the fall. I haven't decided the topic for my in-depth spring/summer study yet, but I'm leaning towards the book of Philippians.
One thing that I've let lapse during this busy season is memorizing Scripture, I think I need to make more of an effort to incorporate this back into my daily schedule.
No matter how busy we get, we should never let time with God be the thing that we let slip away. There are so many ways we can get God's Word into us, that there really is no excuse. I hope this post will be a gentle reminder to those who might need it and to those who are faithful in their Bible studies, I hope it will let you know that you are not alone.
I have many things to share, spiritually speaking, so look for me to get back to regular posting in the not to distant future!
